My Story

The first time I remember enjoying writing, I was in second grade. My teacher would assign homework each week for us to write sentences with spelling words in them. Each week, I would turn in a new little story. In fourth grade my class would regularly write long essays and stories to prepare us for tests at the end of the year. That was when I started developing characters and a few years later I started writing purely for fun.

It wasn't until much later that I really became interested in poetry. I had a brief phase in middle school, but I had never really thought of poetry as a serious path to take. In late 2020 I took a creative writing class and I started writing poems a few times a week. Then, in February of 2021, I started The Poet's Path.
